The Paris International Golf Club (PIC), a private golf club designed by Jack Nicklaus, is located on the northern outskirts of Paris, in Baillet-en-France. Built in 1991, it boasts some of the most beautiful scenery of any of Paris’s golf courses and frequently features in the top 25 ranking golf courses in France.
Southwest Greens took the lead in reimagining and constructing the practice facilities at PIC, showcasing our cutting-edge Leisure Pitching Performance System (LPP System) on the target greens. Responding to the club's desire for targets that excel in accepting shots from extended distances, Southwest Greens seamlessly integrated its LPP System into the project.
The innovative concept developed for the PIC range introduced smaller circular targets for short wedge and pitch shots, complemented by slightly larger targets tailored for mid-range wedging. Implementing Southwest Greens bunker turf added aesthetic appeal with bunker-like features and streamlined maintenance.
Featuring the Southwest Greens bunker turf, the facility shows the diversity of creating beautiful-looking targets with bunker-like esthetics while creating a much simpler maintenance solution for the greenkeeping staff.
Beyond the target greens, synthetic zones were strategically installed around the hitting areas and tee lines, ensuring cleanliness and dryness even on wet days.
