OVER ELEVEN YEARS AGO, THE BENJAMIN SCHOOL’S BOY’S GOLF TEAM AMBITIOUSLY RAISED FUNDS TO INSTALL A PUTTING GREEN FOR A GOLF MARATHON TO TAKE PLACE IN WEST PALM’S QUANTUM HOUSE. SINCE COMPLETING THIS EARNEST PROJECT, SOUTHWEST GREENS OF FLORIDA HAS BEEN A REGULAR SPONSOR.
Quantum House is the only hospital hospitality house serving children and their families south of Orlando, providing lodging and care for families with a child receiving medical care at a local medical facility. In addition to family-style amenities, including a business center, Quantum House supports its mission by hosting a range of special events designed to keep benefactors and volunteers alike upbeat during difficult times.
This year, Southwest Greens International was given the opportunity to donate turf while SWG of Florida volunteered labor and contributed additional playground materials for a new undertaking at the hospitality house.
Using a fresh color of a popular playground style, 1,500 square feet of Dull Diamond Clover (GB025) was installed with the usual craftsmanship needed for play-safe synthetic grass landscaping. The directors are thrilled with the outcome – the children love playing on it!
