Atlanta's Iconic Delta Flight Museum has explored flight history and contemplated the future of flight with curious guests for more than 20 years. The 68,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art attraction creates an event space for learners, families and professionals like no other.

The museum recently underwent a major renovation and as part of the exhibit Southwest Greens of Atlanta was called on to install a grass dais on which the first ‘Air Traveler’ airplane rests. The Traveler was built in the early 1930’s and served as the first passenger plane for Delta Airlines, then Delta Air Service.

SOUTHWEST GREENS COMPLETED THE 400 SQUARE FOOT PROJECT IN TIME FOR THE GRAND OPENING AND ATTENDED BY GEORGIA GOVERNOR NATHAN DEAL AND ATLANTA’S MAYOR KASIM REED.

Delta is one of the world’s most well-known companies and the museum affords visitors a look at the history of an iconic brand. Fred Cannon spoke passionately about the details of the exhibit and it was important have a realistic turf for the display as early flight typically operated out of fields. We are proud to be a small part of that history now.
